Wills and Trusts

Wills and Trusts are both vitally important as each other in that if offers peace of mind that assets you have worked so hard to build will benefit your loved ones in the way you would wish. Both Wills and Trusts can be used together or be completely separate from each other.

The primary distinction between a Will and a Trust is that a will transfer a specific item, like property or money, to a designated beneficiary. A Trust created while you are still alive, on the other hand, transfers ownership of an asset while permitting its usage for the benefit of the individual in question.

Another significant distinction is that some Trusts may be used during your lifetime, whereas Wills only take effect after your death.
